So my due date was June 14th. On June 11th I lost my plug and started having back pain every 15 mins. Through the night the pain went from 15 to 10. Monday I notice I started having some contractions that would happen every 8-9 mins apart and would last for 30-45 seconds. Later Monday Night I called my Doctor and he told me to wait til they were 5 mins apart for an hour to go. Well Tuesday came and I was still havin contractions and plus I had an appointment at Noon. Went to my appointment my doctor checked me and I was 4cm and 80% effaced ( prev appointment I wasn't even dialted or effaced!!) So he told me to go home and eat lunch and get my stuff and head to the hospital. My Fiance and I arrived at the hospital around 2:10. They checked me and I was at 5cm and still at 80%. They admitted me. Contractions started every 6 mintues. Around I want to say 6pm I recived my epidural. After I recieved that they checked me and I was at 6 1/2cm and they broke my water. Well my doctor told me that he was going to go home because if he stayed there He had a feeling I wouldn't deliver that night and he only lived 30mins away. Well around 7:15 they checked me again and I was at 7cm. Around 8:30ish I told my Fiance to get the nurse because I was feeling a TON of pressure. So she cam in and checked me and I was 10 +2 cm. She called my doctor and he was on his way. Well I felt the urge to push so they had the house doctor come in, incase she started crowing. Well FINALLY, my doctor arrived at almost 9pm. As he is getting suited up he told me to start pushing and I started pushing at 9:05. On my first push she crowned! Pushed again, her shoulders, pushed again and then she was born! At 9:20pm Sophia Marie A. made her arrival!!!! The BEST FEELING IN THE WORLD. After worrying so much if she was going to have Down Syndrome, Trisomy 13 or 21 she was born completely healthy. Reason we thought she might have those was because she had SUA ( Single Umbilical Artery )
