Okay I'm serious this time. Night weaning! I mean it.

I've been threatening night weaning since DS was 10 months old. Now that he is 13 months and hubby has the week off I'm totally sticking to my guns this time. No more 2 days of trying then giving up. Mommy, daddy, AND baby need to sleep better. I know he doesn't NEED me because he eventually settles and goes back to bed without too much protest. But listening to those first 15 minutes of screaming is really upsetting. I go in and tell him "it's nu-night time, not mommy milk time" and rub his head. He grabs at me and cries. Breaks mommy's heart but we all need this. It's time.

Can your hubby put him to sleep?

When I had a surgery and couldn't nurse LO to sleep for 24 hours, someone else had to put her down to bed. Not that I was incapable, but that she was obsessed with my breasts and trying to pull them out, touch them, etc until they were in her mouth.

Yea I'm pretty much throwing him to the wolves for lack of a better option. I told him not to get me unless DS is literally showing no signs of stopping and is in utter (pun intended) distress

Weaning is fine. But he's still young, he needs you to comfort him in other ways until he's used to not having boobies anymore. He doesn't understand what's going on.

That's good that he's backing you up! I have no idea what to do, BD isn't around and LO still wants to nurse all night   I definitely can't get her to sleep any other way though, not me, myself, at least. Good luck!

Absolutely! I've been going in there at night and trying to rock him and soothe him in other ways. I think tonight though I'm going to let DH have a go at it. I think it frustrates LO even more when mommy is there and not giving him milk.
