I don't think a teen who TTC is necessarily stupid but I do agree that ttcing at that age is not a great life choice.

I'm sorry that you had to be put through such emotional trauma.

I'm glad you realize that the desire to have a baby was stemming from your own issues, and not from the production of estrogen

Oh I'm not calling you as a teenager unintelligent, just lacking good judgement at that time.

I think hormones can play a slight role, but overall I do not think it's normal.

When I was like 16/17 ish I got baby fever BAD. I would see a baby commercial on tv and just bawl my eyes out because I wanted a baby so bad.

However I was intelligent enough to know that I was no where near ready for one.

Any teen that purposely TTC, is a smurfing moron.

To be honest, ever since I was 16 I wanted to have a baby. I wasn't TTC---but I did get pregnant at 18. I had a good life, loving/supportive parents, I really had no issues.

I don't think a teen wanting a baby has to do with hormones. And I don't think it's an appropriate age for a teen at that age TTC.

I came from a good family and had no daddy issues and I wanted a baby as a teen. I was not TTC but I did have my daughter at 18 yrs old. It was the best thing that ever happened to me no regrets what-so-ever lol

pretty sure it's normal...don't most women around the world start having children in their late teens? we find it weird in our society b/c we are advanced in many ways and for many reasons it suits us better to wait...so with that, I say that in today's soceity, when we have so many options it is weird to want to TTC as a teen b/c it seriously lessens your options..
