My Not So Happy Mother's Day...
posted 11th May
It's my first Mother's Day, and it's not looking too promising so far. I had to work until 2:30 am last night, so of course my girls decide to have a contest to see who could cry the loudest at 6 am. After 3 hours of sleep, I got to deal with two hysterical babies while my husband was peacefully snoring in the next room. Granted, he's been working a ton and didn't get to sleep until 3 am either, but he could have at least gotten up with me and taken one of the girls off my hands!
Now I have to work again in an hour and a half, so even though my girls decided to go back to sleep immediately after they ate, I can't do the same. I get to go spend the day being a servant to a bunch of rude ass, demanding moms that are lucky enough to go out to eat on Mother's Day. By the time I get home tonight, my babies will be sleeping again, so I won't even get to see them
I really am grateful that I have two wonderful, healthy babies and that my hubby is able to support us enough that I only have to work 2 days a week. I just thought my first Mother's Day would be a little different. I'm not one to really want gifts, so I'm not dissapointed that I didn't get anything. I just wish I'd be able to spend a little time sleeping in or maybe have a few quiet minutes to myself. Oh well, I guess I can look forward to next year.

Aww, sorry that your mother's day is not going so well. Sleep deprivation must be a lot worse with two babies!
Where do you work at, by the way? PM me if you don't want to publically post it.. I would love to stop by and harass you sometime
