I took seroquel, dont think it was xr but that stuff knocked me on my ass. They prescribed it to me to help me sleep at night. Dont remember the dosage or anything so not much help. Good luck!

Seroquel works great for some people. It worked well for me but I hated the side effects that I had and will only take it short term. Your doctor is probably planning on using it as a mood stabilizer and the lexapro like an add on medication. Being bipolar you shouldn't really be on an antidepressant alone because it can trigger rapid cycling or a manic episode. That is probably why you were prescribed an additional medication.
