Athalia is here!! My trini Princess :)

Hey peeps. I finally got a lil 5 mins or so to write while the lil one is sleepin so I'll hafta make my announcement as quickly as possible.

I was scheduled for an induction on Friday 9th May as my due date had already passed and I was really getting impatient.
I ended up going in to hospital on thurs evening (8th) as I started getting some serious contractions from since 12am of that morning. So when we called, the doc told us to come down to the hospital so that I could be checked.
Lo and Behold, I wasnt even a centimeter dilated and my cervix was still way back, but the baby's head was really low.

After what seemed like HOURS of tossing and turning, trying to "breathe" through contractions, I asked the nurses to check me again. I still hadnt gotten anywhere!
So I tried to sleep and was told that my doctor would check me friday morning. Which he did. I was 3 cm dilated and my cervix still was far back So he decided to induce as things were going pretty slow. Once that was done, well things went from "kinda bearable" to "intense" and wasnt even getting a break in between contractions. My sis and they didnt know what to do as I stopped listening to everybody lollll. I was BEGGING for the epi (yes I wanted to go natural)
About 2-3hrs later, the nurses finally called the doctor to do it..Took him a lil while to set up while i cussed him in my head. I was soooooooooooooooooooo relieved once it started kicking in.
By then labour progressed pretty quickly and at 5:04pm lil Miss Athalia was born! Pain-free!
She's 6lbs 12oz of loving!
