Single moms...when did you start dating again?

I've technically been separated from my ex for a month now, but that was only because the funds weren't there for me to move back home. We continued living together a couple months after he decided to call it quits. I just don't have any feelings towards him and haven't for quite some time after everything he's done to me. How do you know when you're "ready" to date? I'm afraid it's going to kill my confidence if I get shot down lol. I mean a single mom that works at a grocery store with two toddler boys and in school....is there really any guy looking for this chaos? I'm just so damn lonely! When did you know you were ready?

It may sound bad to you but I just did the FWB thing for about a year. Then I started dating.

Lol yeah my friend keeps telling me I just need a smurf buddy but I just can't see myself doing that. Not to mention I live in a one bedroom apartment with my 2 boys...I sleep on a couch...not much room for any extracurricular activities in this place lol.

I've tried, a few months after me and BD broke up, but me and the "new guy" no longer talk, and nothing serious ever happened. He told me one of his daughters passed away (which I believe is true, considering, I don't know ANYONE who would make something like that up  ) and we just quit talking, and I lost his phone number, which I so desperately wish I still had. He was such a nice guy, I actually met him off of PlentyOfFish.com. lol

You are the 3rd person that I've heard talk about that site lol. Someone I work with met her boyfriend on there too.

I also met SO off that site too! We met when I was 3 months pregnant with my 3rd baby and he is now daddy to him and also we are expecting another!

i did FWB for a while too... and dated unexpectedly. did the online thing for a while and went out like once a month whenever i had a sitter. i ended up marrying someone i met off Plenty Of Fish
