Can't have any more children

I've been thinking about this a lot. I wasn't sure where to post so I posted here, because I'm feeling a loss.

Because of surgery I've had to fix C section issues I had with my DD, I can no longer carry any more babies. For some reason I'm REALLY upset about this. I'm angry too. I just want them to take my uterus out because it's like my period is just some smurffy reminder that I can never have another child. Worst part is that if I ever got accidentally pregnant I'd have to abort in order to save my life.

I know it sounds dumb but I don't care. I'm upset about this.

I feel the exact same way hun. Recently told that any child I have has a 50/50 chance of being highly special needs like my first and I'm not risking it. I'm very very sad about it and want the same as you. For the uterus to go bye bye.

It doesn't sound dumb at all, it's completely understandable that you would be upset. I'm sorry that you're going through this right now. As far as the fear of getting pregnant and having to abort is it possible you could get your tubes tied or maybe even a hysterectomy?

I've asked for a hysterectomy but they told me no. That I was too young.

HORRIBLY. I feel like such a smurf up because my genes caused Aidan's problems and could cause problems for any child I have.
Before I knew that I was undecided on if I wanted more or not, leaning towards more, but now that I know, I want one so smurfing badly.

I understand how you feel about your period. I want a baby so bad and every period I get it's like "haha, this is another kid you could've had. but you didn't."

I'm so sorry, I would look into longterm birth control and counseling this is a lot to deal with!

Yes, you are just being smart and cautious using bc.

I found a counselor, I discuss many things, one of them being the fact that it is unlikely I will ever carry a pregnancy to term, women can relate to this, or at least empathize usually, it's not silly it's a loss and difficult to deal with, do not apologize for it.
