Some things that said newborn she could still fit in at 3 mo. Its really about knowing the size of your baby. Shes only 6 mo, but can fit into a 1 year old bathing suit. lol

I can't remember with my first but I know it was a month at most. My son now is a month and wears 0-3month clothes. He wore newborn for about a week.

i bought more newborn clothes at a kids consignment shop so if she doesnt fit in them and goes straight to 0-3 quick i wont feel so bad

Depends on your baby to be honest... boys tend to be larger than girls (but not ALWAYS).
My son was in NB clothing for 2-3 weeks - born at 7lbs 8oz.
I have some NB clothing for my daughter but have NO idea how big or small she will be so I didn't get too much. The majority of what I have in NB is primary colored sleepers that someone gave me for free... I didn't go and buy anything NB other than a "Little Sister" onesie that i got 2nd hand and a pink pair of NB pants to go with it that I paid maybe 10cents for considering they were in a bag of clothing i bought for $5. LOL....
In my hospital bag i have the Little Sister Onesie and NB pants and ALSO a 0-3 month outfit just to cover both scenarios for a take home outfit.

My son was born 6 weeks early, he's 2 months old tomorrow and still in NB. He can wear a few 0-3 month onesies but he's mostly still in NB.
He was born at 5lbs 1oz and is now about 9 lbs.
