newborns and diapers... plust a few other questions.

How many diapers a day did your newborn use? or what size pack would you go threw in a week? Im courious because im stocking up. Also did you ever use a bottle warmer? I got a car bottle warmer as a gift.. and if you use/used a boppy did you like it? did like the walmart brand baby head to toe wash work just as well as the name brand stuff? same for target brand stuff is it as good as the name brand wash and lotion?

I bought way too may nappies ...5 boxes of 108 huggies newborn size and they turned out to be no good for my little man.. He peed right thru them... and he grew so quickly...
I used about 10 -12 a day tho at first..
I switched and tried all differnet brands and found that lucky for us, a cheaper brand was better for him.
I have a bottle warmer for the car as my inlaws live 6 hours away and it made travelling that far a lot easier...I have a playgro brand one and never had a prob..takes about 20 mins to heat a full bottle tho.
I swear by CURASH, not sure if you have it in the US.
Id use your samples first that you get from the hosp in baby bags etc, that way you save money and can find ones that you like best.

8-10 a day they eat about every 3 hours and you should change them (or at least i do) every time before she eats. sometimes a couple more.

she is 5 weeks old & is still wearing newborns which goes up to 10lbs. i think shes about 8.5 lbs. & we will run out of diapers in about 2 weeks.... by then i dont think she will be 10 lbs. but we are getting the next size up due to the tightness on her little thighs.

Bottle warmer=best baby purchase I made.
Generic baby wash,etc=same thing as name brand,if you ask me.The sleepytime stuff was a lifesaver,too.
I really never counted poopy diapers,but I wish I had,because I've been tying to stock up too.I will tell you this...they grow fast and are into size 1 diapers fairly quickly,so don't buy too many size N's right away.

yeah i thought they used about 10 diapers a day... i wasnt sure.. so lol i have enough for like a week... i need to get some more..

With each of my kids I would go through a newborn pack in about five to seven days, give or take. It gets better as they get a little older.

Yep Kenzie is a thicky thick baby hehe   Anyway when my baby brother was little he used a lot about 10-ish or more depending on if he had a poop diaper or pee diaper etc. We had to use the expensive brand b/c he had sensitive skin. He was also a little chunker so he was never in the newborn smaller diapers. We tried to use the sotre brands but like I siad he had horribly sensitive skin so we weren't able to. We never used a warmer with him either.

I personally wouldn't stock up on diapers just in case your baby is sensitive to certain brands. I would however recommend purchasing gift cards when you have extra money that you would be putting towards diapers, then when you figure out the best brand for your baby you have to money ready to stock up  

what about store brand soap or like wipes?

I use parents choice wipes or kirkland depends on where I am when I need to buy them. We got super lucky with Mikaila she has no problems with anything. Soap I haven't had to buy since I got tons as gifts when she was born.. I have no problem with generic stuff like that as long as the babies skin tolerates it.

yeah i know someone who uses the target brand and they seem thick and good.

yeah i got pampers and huggies to try out.. and whats another good brand?

We only use Huggies. I hated the pampers when we had them. Do you have a Sams Club or Costco near you? I get all of our diapers there in cases. The Kirkland ones seem ok I never used them and they actually cost a little more than the huggies.

my mil has a costco membership.. and my mom works at walmart so i get a 10% discount on anything in the store and 20% at holidays..

Funny thing is ive never even been inside a costco...
