re: how long did you wait to have sex?

About 7 or 8 weeks after DS. He was my first and the doctor had to cut me a little so it was all painful down there.

With DD it was a super easy birth no tears nothing. We waited like 2 or 3 weeks I think.

I tore as well. My last stitch came out in my underwear as I was undressing at my 6 weeks check up.

4 weeks with my first, that's when I stopped bleeding and felt comfortable enough to do so. I plan to wait until I feel comfortable with this pregnancy as well. Hopefully a little sooner, lately I've been in so much pain I haven't been able to have sex for 3 months.

I waited 7 weeks after my c section.

I had 163 stitches with my first, and I was cleared after 8 weeks (dh wasn't home, but still..) so, you'll probably be fine after the first 6 weeks or so!

8 weeks with first.

6 weeks with second.

So is your GP checking you down there??? urghh i hate my GP, i don't want him to check me :/

first baby was 6 months lol
second baby was 3 weeks

my OB checked to see how I was healing & I got a pap smear..

tried to wait the 6 weeks, only made it to about 3. lol i think each woman is different and they just tell you to wait 6 weeks because thats the average time it takes to fully heal.

No, they say that so you are in the clear with infections...

OP- I waited about 6 with with my first (totally natural birth, I had to get one stitch) Second, I had NO stitches but really bad hammorids I was so uncomfy I waited probably 8 weeks, and still (8+ months pp) sex still doesn't feel great. My second was a pound bigger then the first and I swear he did something! I use to LOVE sex, like 3-4 times a day, now DH islucky if i want it couple times a week, and as soon as i start it STILL hurts.. FML

Exactly 6 weeks. But I wanted to so many times and SO would make me wait til my stitches were gone...grrr  but BEST SEX EVER!!! God that night was so ..movie like? Lol
