OP, I hope you have thick skin because there are going to be some people who are going to metaphorically rip you a new one....

I've heard of a ton of things that are supposed to "help" soften the cervix and bring on labor etc....my contractions are 4 minutes apart with severe back and pelvic pain and my docs won't do a thing unless my water breaks or until my scheduled c-section date on July 16th...

Unless your doctor has set you up for induction, I'm sorry to say this, but your doctor (along with a lot of other people who are going to post) expect you to deal with the pain as best as you can. It sucks BIG time to be in this much pain, but our bodies just aren't ready to set our little ones off into the world just yet...I personally would rather deal with this then watching them take my baby away to another hospital that has a NICU while I have to stay behind...it would kill me not being able to see my baby...

Best of luck dealing with your pain and hope you find something safe recommended from your doctor to help you along in your pregnancy.

You have no way of knowing that your baby will be healthy if born early. If you really think that, then you need to do some research.

Most of us have tried what? Inducing early? Smurf no. I've been pregnant for 44 weeks, so piss off.

Uh yeah, if he came early there could be tons of complications. I never did castor oil, it's stupid. Buy epo, sure. But it doesn't put you into labor.

Are you serious? Your baby could end up in a NICU if it was born early, and damn if that kid is such a burden then why the smurf did you decide to keep it? I went over due with both my kids and yea I bitch about the pain but i didnt do anything to get them out early. Its called a DUE DATE, not a wheneverIfeellikehavingthething date. I had back pain, even before I was pregnant with DD and after. I just dealt with it  

I go to a chiropractor every other week, and every week during the third trimester.

Once again, you are don't know what you are talking about. I was closely monitored and made a decision that was in my child's best interest. I have a healthy baby to show for it.

You could have gone over due because the doctor had your due date wrong....that does happen a lot. No one is putting you down, you are being selfish and you're digging yourself into a bigger hole by trying to justify your post. I would rather have my baby go over due then come out 4 weeks early.
