weight gain

My little boy is 10 lbs 11oz as of July fourth. He will be a month old July 7th. He was 8 lbs 13oz at birth. I know weight gain is good but is he gaining too much? He usually drinks a four oz bottle every four hours but will occasionally eat 6 oz a feeding, which I hate giving him because it seems like too much, but he is actually hungry not jut fussy. I'm not sure if this is normal. Any advice?

Feed him as much as he wants. My son was 8.11 at birth and was 12.10 by 1 month. If he wants 6 then give him 6. If he doesn't need it he will spit it up. There is nothing wrong with feeding him when he is hungry.

sounds pretty normal. Both my kids start off gaining about 1/2 to 1 lb a week then it slows down as they get older.
