am i selfish?

Okay so you know the saying a woman is a mother when she's pregnant and a man is a dad when he sees the baby...so does that make me a mother even though we lost the baby? i've just been thinking about it a lot since mother's day is coming up and no one thinks of me as a mom, but i still feel like one.I just want someone to make me feel special on mother's day tomorrow and i know no one will, so i know i'll get bummed and i know its silly, but i cant help it. I just have an angel baby and my family wont think anything about it and i know the in laws definitely wont....but now i feel selfish for even wanting them to. Grrr....

Im right with you. Although I had ablighted ovum, I still consider my pregnancy a loss of a baby. My baby, and for a short time I felt like a mother. This mothers day is making me extremely upset I am glad im not alone!
Not to mention my best friend just found out she is pregnant. Im happy for her but it seems to make my pain worse.

I'm right there with you! my SIL is due the same week i was supposed to be...i hate that she's pregnant. i'm happy for them but it hurts to have to watch her be at the exact same time...so everything new that happens to her i think wow, thats what stage i'd be in....you're not alone!
