The second part I agree with, (not the stick up her ass part) but its not about the physical flag, it's about what it stands for and I *personally* believe it deserves some respect. If you drape it underneath your baby in a basket or cape it to run a marathon that's one thing but treating it with disrespect or burning it is bothersome not because it's a large piece of cloth but because it represents more to some people, and I'm not overly patriotic but I dislike the idea of blatantly disrespecting those it means something to.

Same with the cross, same with all religious symbols. It's a ignorant disregard for something that means something to some people, it's rude and unnessisary.

I'll agree with that. Although I still don't think it makes it any more okay on their end. You're certainly right, and I won't argue your logic.
