if your child is on medicaid now, check and see if they offer a ''specail needs'' case manager. My children have one through their medical assistance provider because of developemental delays from ASD....It makes it much easier to get them the services they need (in a timely manner). Have u looked into seeing if LO qualifies for SSI benifits? It can be a big help offsetting the costs of services that insurance doesnt cover.

we were denied SSI and the program is on hold for us until we know if we'll be staying in our state or moving and if our insurance will be changing or not..

I had to appeal my daughter denial and finally got approved after they had their doc evaluated her themselves (which they shouldve done b4 they denied her the first time)....it was a long drawn out process but we finally got it.

in less then two months well know and luckly we know the woman and she's super awesome so shes just moving the person behind us up until we can figure something out..
