Question for Charting moms, who got BFPs.

I have a question for all those ladies who charted and got pregnant. So, I have been charting for several months. Last month I started using OPKs to predict ovultion. Well, I have never before had a dip after O, and I had one at 6-7DPO this month. I tested this morning to be sure (8-9DPO), to know for sure if I can have a drink at our 4th of July BBQ. It was a BFN, I know its still early, but I figure if it doesnt show on a pregnancy test then a drink wont hurt if I am pregnant. (Im sorry if this offends anyone, that is not my intention). Anyway, the temp dip kinda worries me. Nothing was different about that day (temp in my apartment is always the same, I slept under the covers like always, and I wore the same thing I usually wearto sleep). Looking it up, it sounds like it may have been an implantation dip. If you had an implantation dip, how long afterwards did you get your BFP?

Here is my chart if you want to take a look: I temp orally, if that matters. Not sure why FF put my O the day of my OPK, Im prettysure it was the next day, which is why Im not 100% on my DPOs...

I got a dip around 7 dpo and a BFP around 10 dpo.

I think you'd be fine to have a drink either way, even if you're pg.

I plan to. Its just a drink and my test this morning was BFN. So I am having a drink or 2.

Im trying ot figure out when I should test again... lol. Probably will on Saturday. I feel like the dip is a good sign, I dont usually have a post O dip.

well I got pg my first cycle of charting the first time and my 2nd time charting was while BFing, so my charts / cycle were pretty abnormal during that time as well (you can see my cycles on my profile page if you scroll down to "my story, the mini version). but yes, my post-O temps were higher and continued to rise. I think it looks like you O'd cd 17.
That would would make your dip 5dpo which I've read implantation is possible, but not likely. The blastocyst is just hatching at about 5-6 days.
But it's very possible you did O cd16 and just had a delayed rise.

I thought with my temps that I od 2 days after the pos opk, but I was told that the opk is more correct then temps. Idk though. I got th he pos opk on cd 15 and a neg opk cd 16, and I had o pain on cd 16. Fx still. Lol.

Yeah the opk would still go with O'ing on cd 17, you don't always O the day after(or at all) after a pos opk but yeah it's generally a day or 2 after your first pos opk if the surge did its job! Temps are generally more accurate because it confirms you have O'd, rather than the opk which will only tell you that you have an LH surge, which doesn't guarantee O.
If you did O cd17, then you've got a really good chance of pregnancy with BD'ing the two days before!

I would lean more toward O on CD17 as well, but it's hard to tell since you didn't check your CP/CM. Input a false temp for CD16 (like 96.9) and see if it changes your O date. As the other person said, you generally O 24-48 hours after a pos OPK and not on the same day as the OPK, since your LH surge comes before the egg is released.

Yeah, I know that the date on the chrt is definately wrong... FF is just being stupid as usual. TCOYF says I O'd on CD 16 as well. Last month was the same way. I had the pos OPK one day, Neg OPK the next and my temp spiked 2 days after that. AF started 14days after TCOYF says I O'd last month.

With the false temp on CD 16, it moves O to CD 17.

Should your coverline be the same every month? Cause this month the coverline they are giving me is 97.1, last month it was 96.8. Previous months that I have charted (from last year) ar all around 96.7

The cover line depends on the 6 temps previous to O. Is it giving you that with or without the false temp for cd16? That would make a difference.

Both, but if I O'd on CD 15, like it says without the false temp for CD 16, then The coverline would actually be 96.9, not 97.1. Check out the chart in my OP, that is this month's current chart, without the false temp for CD 16.

Oh ok lol sorry I got confused.
I definitely think FF is wrong so if your sure you O'd cd16, then I'd overide FF and put cd16 as your O day and put your usual cover line.

For those who got their BFPs while charting: Were your post O temps higher than usual that month? Or the same as usual?
