My 10 yr old daughter got out of the pool and came in the house and slipped pretty hard on the ceramic tile.
This morning when she got up she had the whole top teeth prints embedded in her tongue and its swollen and hurts to talk. And on top of that she has swimmers ear. Ugh poor kid is still in bed she just does not want to do anything today.
I gave her the hot water bottle and some adult advil fast release for pain. Should I bring her in for her tongue? I know they don't do anything for it but she wants to go. And her ear is something she always gets that's why she wears ear plugs but didn't yesterday idk what do you think?

She does not like popsicles icecream or anything really cold so that won't work lol I already tried to get her to have some.

Go buy her some of those rocket popsies to be festive
The swelling will go down just keep an eye on it. It's realllly hard for a mouth wound to become infected though. If ANYTHING do warm salt water rinses as well.

You have to insist on her at least sucking on an ice cube. The cold will help the swelling. It's like a kid not wanting to take their medicine...you sorta have to sway them to.

I can't with her...she fears anything cold in her mouth. Idk why but she always had. She wont drink anything cold and never has. She drinks milk warm still at 10.. pop warm juice water everything lol I don't want to put her anxiety through the roof as well.)
