When did you start your LO on stage 1 foods?
Everytime my mom gets the chance to get free baby food she grabs it & some of it isn't going to be good much longer.. LO is 4 months & will be 5 months on the 16th. So I wanted to know if now would be a good time to start or not, even though doctors say 6 months.

Never. We do baby led weaning.

If doctors say 6 months, why would you want to start at 4?

Well after 6 months, and baby led weaning, none of that jar crap.

I voted 6 months because thats when I started with DD#2. DD#1 was a ravenous beastie and started at 4 months but only because she was SO hungry milk alone wasn't enough for her

Because even though they say 6 months I've heard different from parents.. My fiance was started at 4 months & my brother at 5..

Around 5 months.

My son started a little before 4 months.

The little boy I nanny for started at 4 months. His parents demand that I feed him atleast one jar a day. He is almost 6 months now and still doesn't "need" it. The only way I can get him t eat it is pile some in his mouth and then stick his fingers in after so he sucks it down. It's a horrible mess and I feel bad for the little guy but its what the parents want  

I'm going for delayed solids. So 6+ months.

Wait until 6mo. And for the record if a baby needs more to eat before 6mo you should give them more milk, not solids.

Oh my now that's a bit far..

Do what you feel is best, I start my daughter on solids at 5.5 months.

I was thinking about starting at 5months to be in the middle of the 6months that the Dr. says & the 4months I've noticed a few parents start.
