thats a bit relieving. I think I will take a look at her hand when she wakes up and if it looks swollen, I'm going to take her up. She's only 3 so her tetanus vaccine is up to date.

If she's fighting off something I wouldn't vaccinate unless you know exactly what it is..vaccinating suppresses the immune system to other illnesses for a little while. Plus treatment for rabies is very uncomfortable even painful and expensive as hell

Was this a pediatric ER? If not, I'd get a 2nd opinion. I don't agree with doing her vaccines early either.

no just the local ER at our hospital. I had to take her to our family doctor but there wasnt swelling around the site so they said to just monitor her. She's doing much better today. But she was actually only awake for like 5 hours tops yesterday. Her fever was getting better around bedtime and she's okay today.

thanks, me too. I kept her home just in case today becuase when she started feeling funny it came out of nowhere. But she will go play at the playschool tomorrow- I just wanted to ensure we wouldnt be infecting anyone with some crazy Chipmunk Flu lol.
