Awake late and missing the little guy :(

So sent my son to the sperm donor's for the weekend visit....and I have never been so sad not to hear "Mom-Mom! Eat!" coming from his room at the usual ten pm. I'm mopey and just kinda wandering around the house every so often munching on his animal crackers lol. I miss the little guy, its his first weekend away from me in eleven months.   This blows.

Well, he loves his Sperm Donor so I felt it was necessary to maintain their bond even though I hate his father with a burning passion right now....But he comes home Sunday....it seems so long. lol

My son is 19 mths and he has spent only 1 night not with us b/c we had an engagement party 4 hrs away and couldnt take him......

You are certainly brave... Chin up, Hes probably missing his mummy too, but he will get used to it...It will maek you appreciate him just that little bit more.....Who knows in time you might be able to go and use the time to have a coffee with friends etc and not feel guilty for having Me Time.

Being a single mum, you do deserve some time out too.... It will work out. big hugs.

Yeah...I felt pretty pampered just getting to sit and dangle my legs in the hot tub without his video monitor tonight lol. It's getting a little better just having people to talk to at this time of night too.

It's strange the first time he's gone in 11 months is MOTHER'S DAY WEEKEND!!

I think his grandma, who his dad lives with, had something to do with that. I was insistent they bring him home midday sunday so I could have some of mother's day with him. His grandma has some sort of complex as far as my son is concerned lol.

I'm sorry...I hope you get to do something with him on your FIRST mother's day!!

Not so much. Its Mothers Day and I've spent it alone in my house watching TV waiting for phone calls or knocks on the door that haven't come yet, missed my family's big barbecue and have a wonderful TV dinner to look forward to cause now by the time my son comes home it'll be bedtime.
