Where do you find the motivation??

I have been trying to talk myself into getting into a work out routine since the beginning of the YEAR. so yeah....7 months, and i think i've only exercised one day of it. I am uncomfortable in my body and I know I need to work out, but I just can't get the motivation to do so. I end up laying my lazy butt on the couch and watching shows after the kids go to bed. I feel so disgusted, but I'm not doing anything about it...and I don't know why. So....what motivates you?

I joined this site called " my fitness pal.com" and the other people who are on the site post before and after pictures. They motivate me so much because you see their success and it just shows you, you can do it too and all the hard work will pay off in the end.

i found a picutre of a girl who has my ideal body type. if you find one that you like print it out and put it next to a pics of you now and then tape it to the mirror or the fridge or soemthing. you could also find a pair of your favorite jeans or a dress or somthing that is too small for you and use that as a way to measure your progress.

Some good upbeat music and a nice day. Otherwise, see if a friend wants to join a gym with you so you have a workout buddy. Some places offer a daycare service too.

The first day is the hardest.


It becomes a fun escape thiugh and you will feel awesome

I use the same site. I track my food intake, but i dont get much of a work out in. But i do try to use it everyday. Otherwise i have the same problem with working out. I need a work out buddy

I am always tired after looking after my 11 month old every day, i leave all of my cleaning until after she is in bed on a night, i plug my ipod in and clean clean clean for a good 2 hours.

I also take my daughter swimming twice a week which is really good exercise especially as she lovesss the water and never wants to get out!
Weve also just joined a fitness club once a week which has a day care inside so whilst i work out for a hour, my daughter gets to play with the other children

What I do is take my kids for an hour long walk, sometimes I will roller blade as my oldest rides his bike.
Go swimming-do jumping jacks in the water, or try and run
Do fitness videos at home with the kids--i sometimes find this irritating to do with my kids, they always end up needing something while im working out.--but most of the time it works. lol.
go to the gym twice a week with the kids-they get a break from normal routine, and so do you.

Also, keep in mind, weight loss is 80% nutrition and 20% exersize!!
