When did you start clipping LO's toenails?

I've been doing his fingers with ease, but his toenails are finally starting to slice me up good. But they don't *look* too long at all.

Plus, Logan wiggles around so much that the thought of the task itself scares me  

So? Tips & tricks are welcome as well.

When mine was little, I was terrified to clip them, so I bit hers off.
Sounds gross, but it worked for me.  

Can you do it while he sleeps? Zora's fingernails are little talons, but I've only had to clip her toenails once or twice.

I haven't done my LO's toenails yet but I do her fingernails. I can only do them when she is asleep.

Why dont you wait till hes sleeping. WAY easier! And when i start to see a good bit if white at the tip i clip. You could always file them ...

Those baby files drive me nuts ... they don't do jack for me  

I have been doing my 5 months old since she was just a few weeks old. I do them when she is in the bath. I do her fingers and toes once a week.
