That's what you get for paying $70 ($80 in your case) for 'professional' photos.

most professionals charge way more than that, and A LOT more for photos on a CD.

She's probably just starting out, or has a big head because her friends and family tell her how amazing her photos are because they 'have' to.

To me, she has potential, but it sounds like she needs to be a bit more professional and patient...and practice her composition and posing....

That is crazy. As a photographer you are probably a "Faux tographer." No real photographer in their right mind gives everything they take, nor gives 100 + images. Smurf that. I charge $150.00 per session, and you get NO disc. Yep, NONE. That is an additional almost $200.00. $70.00 is change for a real photographer.

I started off at a small price, but have worked my way up. $100+ for sessions and then the CD is additional or you can order prints.

$80 for 25 photos on a CD is a good deal..

I know a "photographer" around here that charges $20 for a session and then you get all the UNEDITED photos on a CD. *Cringe*


I recently told a client (that i knew was having money issues) that I would only charge her $85 for her newborn photos.. and she declined and is now going to the lady that does them for $20.

I mean, $65 is a decent chunk of change to someone with a newborn AND financial issues.
I don't think she was being "cheap."

  that's really cheap! I paid $125 for a mini session which is 30 minutes and i get 10 of the photos she takes.

EDIT: I also have to pay $30 for the CD that the 10 pictures are on... special $155 total.

This also discounted because its a family friend.

No one said you should. But she coudn't afford you. Doesn't make her cheap.

i wasn't saying just her in general. everyone these days is looking for a cheap deal, even if it means they get crappy stuff.
