Ever since I got pregnant, i cant tolerate milk!

And its driving me crazyyy. I have tried so many times and i get the worst upset stomach, full feeling, and vomit tons. Vomiting in general sucks, but throwing up milk is torture. My biggest craving is ice cream and cereal and i cant have either. My whole family just got dairy queen and I couldnt get any. Waaah.
Anyone else have that issue or know why it would be that way? My mom seems to think baby will be lactose intolerant but I don't think it would have anything to do with her, right? Oh and before pregnancy, I could drink milk and eat all the ice cream I wanted. So I'm stumped.

I had that really bad too. Something about milk would crank my heart burn into over drive. The best way I could explain is it was as if it soured inside of me. I woke up many nights and would start gagging and a lot of times end up throwing it all up!
I craved cereal my pregnancy too , but I had to give it up! Even eating chocolate would kick it up.
As soon as you have the baby , it's all gone though

I had this EXACT same thing happen to me when I got pregnant with my first son. I used to could drink milk by the gallon and never once get sick. When I got pregnant with him, I threw up every single bit of dairy product I had. There was no explanation for it. My son is not lactose intolerant, although he did have bad acid reflux as an infant.
The feeling never went away after having him. Now I'm pregnant with my second son and am still going through the same thing. Not sure what it is, I guess it is just "one of those things".

I just looked it up. I did this the first time , but I didn't remember exactly what it was.
I read online that milk is actually acidic (containing lactic acid) and can just add more fuel to the problem.

I did that during the first tri but now in the second I am craving it...

I know how you feel. I've never had it with my other 3, but this I have. I craved and enjoyed drinking milk, eating ice cream, and eggs. But this preg, forget about it. I talked to my OB about it and he said baby may be lactose intolerant
Im in my 3rd trim and I can eat ice cream now. I'm soooo happy. Lol. So I'm not sure what it was, but I'm glad I can enjoy it now. So hopefully you'll be able to soon. (I couldn't do any dairy products at all) I would get really bad stomach cramps, nausea, puking, and gas. Mylanta Gas helped, but I just didn't eat any of it due to the cramping. But I hope you feel better, and that soon you'll be able to enjoy dairy products. God bless....

Aww man that sucks! Hopefully our babes arent lactose intolerant. I guess I don't mind in a way not being able to have ice cream because I swear I'd eat the whole carton if I could so its saving me that extra like 20 ice cream pounds I'm sure I'd gain hahaha. I haven't tried since the end of my first trimester and I think I'll just wait until after I have her to yet again just to save myself the pain. Ugh. But I'm glad you can now have some! Eat some for me.

I've been lactose intolerant forever, but before pregnancy I could still eat cheese and ice cream and processed stuff. After pregnancy it got WAY WORSE. I read online that it's fairly common to become extra sensitive to dairy though.
I wonder if there's any correlation between babies who cant handle milk and mommies who puke it during pregnancy, like mommy_brown said.

That's what my mom said also. Always slips my mind to ask my dr about it when i go in though because its not like its a huge issue. I'll have to make a list of things to ask because I never remember til I get home lol. wjats weird is that I can still handle cheese (in small amounts).
We have this strawberry shortcake at my house and it is made with a heavy whipping cream and milk and I indulge in that and pay later lol. The baker told me it has lots of milk so that's why my tummy gets upset. I'm too chicken to try a small glass of milk again though.

im the opposite before i got pregnant i hated milk with a passion and later learned i was lactose intolerant but now im fine when i eat ceral or drink chocolate or strawberry milk lol

Im sorta the opposite. Before getting pregnant too much dairy would make me get diarrhea and other times I would be fine. Ive had some problems with it since gettin pregnant but not much. I actually drink more milk now than before though and i seem to handle it better being pregnant. I have gone crazy with chocolate and strawberry milk, along with quite a bit of ceral. I do admit though, during the puking stage, milk is absolutely gross to puke up.

I have that too! It sucks, because I wanna eat cereal or yogurt and I end up vomitting it back up.

I love yogart soooo much...so I would bought the lactose free kind and it's very delicious. My oldest couldn't handle milk when she was little, but she outgrew it. It's prob because I ate so much and ice cream and dranked a lot of milk. Lol. But yes...I did talk to my OB and he said that my baby maybe lactose intolerant. But I don't think she will be because I can have it now. I've never been a milk drinker, only when I'm preg. But I did buy a calcuim tablet with Vitamin D so that she would get the extra needed vitamins from milk and dairy products. But hopefully your baby won't be lactose intolerant, and this is just some form of preg issue. Good luck with everything and God bless

i became lactose intolerant with my first as well, and it really sucked. I mean when would you want dairy items more?!?!
I took lactaid with me everywhere and that seemed to help. I would have to take at lest 2 though.
