It's okay if the answer is a no, so don't feel bad, but I lost my daughter to a brain defect. Can she be entered, though not currently living?

If you feel comfortable sharing your story then please feel free to enter. I had lost a sister to a brain defect, Lissencephaly a.k.a smooth brain. She died at 10 weeks old after my mom made the decision to take her off life support.

My daughter, Natalie, was born with various defects with the veins throughout her body. She was diagnosed with Vein of Galen Malformation (VGAM), which is a major vein in the brain, but what ultimately led to her passing was the tangled mess of veins in her body. Her veins made one big circle from her brain, to her heart, then back to her brain, leading to pressure in the brain and an enlarged heart, and barely any blood or oxygen making it to her lungs or body. We took her off of life support at four days old. She is still my beautiful, perfect angel.

Beautiful baby girl. I am so sorry for your loss. She is gorgeous and perfect, and I am so glad you got to spend the time with her that you did.
