Do they really not know they were pregnant ?

posted 1st Jul '12
I am wondering what other people may think ,

In Australia on Foxtel ( pay Tv ) Discovery health channel is a show called
I didn't know I was pregnant . Could a woman not feel kicks of a growing baby ? The stretching of ligaments wouldn't make you wonder ?
Is there anyone out there that knows of someone who has been in labor delivered a baby and didn't know they were pregnant ?
I am just curious ( and a little bored lol )

Haha actually I know a girl I went to school with tho just had a baby girl about two weeks ago.. She claims she didn't know she was pregnant & gave birth at home. Only in labor for 30 minutes.. Hmmm

Sure, depending on how the baby/placenta are positioned you might not be able to feel movement..lots of women who do know they are pregnant sometimes dont feel movement until 30 weeks. I didnt find out i was pregnant until 20 weeks.

This girl I worked with at the college had it happen.. she felt weird for awhile and she took pregnancy tests and they were negative.. then one day she had a seizure and went to the ER and they told her she was 7 months pregnant.. had her son 2 days later and had a Preemie. She is kind of a bigger girl so that's probably why she didn't notice a growing baby.

It is 100% possible to go to full term and not know you're pregnant. Absolutely.

Its very possible. I dont believe the stories on the show, though. Not most of them anyway.

It happened to my friends sister , she is a very large girl and didn't notice a belly.
She never knew she was pregnant untill she went into labour, her cycle was all over the place so she never considered she could be pregnant.

That was her 4th child.

I can understand if your of bigger build weight gain or movements may be dismissed but what stumps me is the ladies who have already given birth , One lady who had 2 other children claimed her hubby went to work and during the afternoon she gave birth to a term baby by herself in the bedroom ? so when her hubby came home he was basically greeted by another baby lol .I just wonder any woman who is sexually active doesn't for a minute think she may be with child ? they all say in the show " the signs were there "headaches , back pain sickness dizzy feeling & absence of a period .
I know a lot of us have irregular cycles ....but again if your sexually active after a few months of nothing ... wouldn't you test ?

My cousin had twins, and did not know she was pregnant. Odd, but one of them ended up having a lot of major issues due to it, a lot of fluid on his brain. But she's also morbidly obese, so that could definitely be why.

One of my friends (who has a 2 year old son) just had a baby, and she didn't find out she was expecting until 2 weeks before her due date. Not as extreme as finding out at delivery...but still, crazy!

idk. I'm only 4 weeks and I probably wouldn't know but again I'm only 4 weeks. With my son I grew a great big belly. So idk how you get pregnant without a belly. I've seen that show...it confused me.
