I have heard you can take RU486 up to 12 weeks.

Sounds about right. A friend of mine had to wait to take it because she wasn't 6 weeks yet. She was just hitting 4 when she made her appointment so she had to wait 2 weeks before it was given to her. (I thought it was odd, but I guess that's how it's done now?)

But as for as I know, it has to be taken before 9 weeks.

They had my friend schedule another appointment and come back when she was 6 weeks. They performed another ultrasound to make sure dating was correct, and then gave it to her. I guess before 6 weeks it's hard to say how far along you are since there isn't much to see? That would be my best guess though.

I honestly don't know if you have to be a certain amount of weeks   Can you call and see?
