Extremely weak arms.

I got sick, lost a lot of weight + muscle when I was a few years younger.. Long story short, I'm 21 weeks pregnant Monday, and I have extremely weak arms, my friends 10lb newborn I can't hold up for more than 10 minutes without my arms giving out. It just worries the crap out of me. Can I safely work out my arms without causing problems? What would you guys suggest?

I'd use light weights slowly getting heavier, but don't go too heavy.

i dont know what ur fitness level is right now. if you think u could handle it look into a dvd like walk at home and use like 1-2 lb weights while doing it to get some exercise (lightly) and work your arms out. you might tire out quick so maybe short video... the reason why i say the walk at home is cause leslie sansome has some great workouts out there that could work your legs and arms and you can pick one that is just right for a beginner and you wont hurt yourself unless your are on strict bedrest or something
