Pumping while LO breastfeeds

They tell you to pump after your child is done breastfeeding but I need milk fast and can only get some when I have let down is there any cons to this because I also want to increase my supply and have been pumping for a little while after my son is done eating.

Why do you need it fast?
Nursing more will increase your supply, though you can try Fenugreek or other supplements. I used to feed on one side, let the other engorge, have DS empty one side and pump the other. It was a good system.

Because I need to leave my son for some hours with someone next week and in the future and want to build a freezer stash. I'm rarely ever engorged anymore mostly because we sleep together and he eats at night a lot.

Well, it's really none of my business, but if you can't pump enough and want him to continue to be EBF, don't leave him.

Pump everysingle morning at about 6 am. Makes ur body kick into overdrive in the milk production area. There is something about the morning pumping... Anyway, worked for me. I have about a yr surplus of
Milk in my freezer cuz I made so much. So whenever I stop breastfeeding he will still get it in his cup.
