Her age has nothing to do with it, there are smurffy parents at every age. I was a very educated, researched pregnant 17 year old.

But yes, I'd say something gently.

There's no need to post a picture, you're lucky you didn't or I'd be tearing you a new smurfing one right now. The only reason to post the picture is so women can attack the person who did it, and that child didn't ask to have its picture put up here by you.

Let her know the laws, quietly and privately so she doesn't feel put on the spot, and then see if she modifies her behavior. If she doesn't, it's her child she's possibly jeopardizing.

She is 17. I highly doubt she is trying to hurt her child - she just doesn't know.

That's not drama seeking. That's trying to stop something I'm very passionate about, abuse of CPS.

Have you ever looked into the stats? Do you know how many calls get dropped alone? People who can't even get through because the lines are tied up?

CPS needs to be reserved for the most serious situations, because kids who need it are getting overlooked all the time because of the sheer number of baseless and not really dangerous calls they get.

FF in a car seat is risky, but the probability is much, much lower of harm than just about everything else CPS deals with.
