Just wondering...

posted 30th Jun '12
Ok...so this is my second pregnancy...and it has been totally opposite of my first with my son. Nauseated, tired, hormonal, headaches, aches.... I am wondering 2 things...
1. Are pregnant women more hormonal while carrying baby girls? I know I have to wait till an u/s, but Im just curious if you have had both and noticed a difference with each!
2..Is there anything to help with the moods and hormonal mood swings? I have had them like crazy the past couple of days...and Im scared ny husband might leave me the way they have been! (Just kidding, but boy I wouldnt blame him if he did! They are BAD!) Just wondering if there is anything to help with the mood swings. Thanks ladies!

With my first pregnancy (boy) I was a hormonal nightmare...so bad that my husband's mother asked him is he SURE he wanted to be with me...and that she would help him leave me if needed. LOL. I was a smurfing smurf. There is no other way to describe it.

2nd pregnancy (I'm 34 weeks.  ) and my HUSBAND is the hormonal one! lol. I feel GREAT! haha...and this one is a boy too.

With my 1st I was nauseas/vomiting constantly up until i delivered, I had the whole 'shebang' and swore i'd never have another baby hahaha!!

With this bub i was only sick from weeks 3-9 and now i feel normal apart from reflux/the weight in my tummy/sore back.

Both are boys, baby #2 is just MUCH nicer to his mummy.

Im not sure if this would help with pregnancy mood swings, but i took vitamin b6 for my PMS, its safe to take during pregnancy & also helps with morning sickness.. maybe you could try it?

The only difference I noticed with DD is...I had morning sickness....morning noon and night 24 hours a day 7 days a week for 9 months. So bad that I could barely keep water down....And I had slight morning sickness until about 8 weeks with this pregnancy...and it's a boy. lol

Ha, my mil has done the same! It has only started with in the past couple of days, and the nausea has slowed since last week (week 12). I will be 14 weeks on Monday. I will try the vitamin b6...hopefully that will help,...I dont even like myself during that time!

My first 2 were boys and they were cake walks, I was happy and never sick! This time around it's a girl and I have had some extreme mood swings, and basically every pregnancy symptom possible!

Ohh mama trust me, i was AWFUL to DH when i was carrying LO.

I remember yelling at him for cutting a tomato with a bread knife (he was helping me make a salad & i couldn't stand the fact he was using the 'wrong' knife)

I got upset because he ate pizza out of the box instead of getting a plate... he was just trying to save me washing dishes LOL!..

I cried because I wanted tuna pasta bake for dinner & he didn't feel like it...

Omgosh... thats just a few things LOL!

I thought at the beginning of this pregnancy that it just HAD to be.a girl becuz I was having the same things happening to me.. & I didn't have any of that with my 1st... But nope!! Its a boy lol.. Every pregnancy is diff. But that dosnt mean ur not carrying a girl but Im def proof that none of those wives tales.are true.. Good luck mama!!
