3D/ 4D Ultrasound

Hey everyone,
just wanted to hear your opinions on getting a keepsake 3d/4d ultrasound. The FDA doesn't recommend them and I'm curious to know if anyone has any info on the dangers and risks involved in having these done. We have an appointment next week and are contemplating canceling. any suggestions???

I got one done and my little girl is fine. lol. I dont know if I would get another one though, simply because I don't think it looks much like her at all. haha. It was a great experience though.  

No dangers or risks. Its not recommended because you cant see the "internal" things that need to be looked at like the heart and kidneys and spine things like that. Its mainly just for fun and for you. I have a 3D and 4D u/s pic and a video they recorded for me. It was nice and my family loved it.

You cant really go by actual "looks" because well they are soaked in fluid at the time loland they look a lot more plump I guess you would say on the 3D version. Kind of like if you soak for hours you get a little soggy but they have been soaking for months.

I know that. lol. But with a lot of the ones I saw you could at least see similarities between the 3d and the baby when it was born. haha. Mine looked like a completely different baby. It was definitely worth the experience, I just dont know if I would spend the money again.

i have never heard anything about any risks! people get them all the time its real common, i got one everytime i went to the dr until her head was too far down to see her face

Yeah mine I got her making funny faces and the pics actually looked like she had a huge grim on her face. It was so cute. Doesnt really look like her but I still love it. I didnt have to pay extra though. My doctor had the machine that does all three scans so all he had to do was flip a switch to switch the type of scan. 4D wasnt that great because it was WAY slower and he said its no different then 3D other then 3D is faster and 4D has color (which is just orange anyways and I can do that on a editing program  )
