Body differences.. Formula vs. Breastfed..?

posted 30th Jun '12
Not trying to start anything, but I was just wondering if some breast-fed babies are shaped like this too. I don't know very many...

I haven't found any research on it but I've noticed that most of the formula fed babies I know have flat, stiff backs, small hip areas and really wide, like triangular shaped rib cages?
Has anyone else noticed? I really wish I could find some kind of study on this. It seems concerning to me.

I don't see how formula or BM could have anything to do with body structure.

My daughter was FF and didn't have any of those issues.

why would formula be any different than BM for how their bodies are, it sounds stupid and idiotic

How does the way a baby is fed make their body structure?

Gaining weight too fast, might make their rib cage wider. Idk. My nieces and my boyfriends nephew are shaped like this and it seems odd to me.

And their backs flat and stiff, and hips narrow? Come on now. Do you hear what you're saying?

How would formula vs breast milk make them gain weight too fast?

I think this is a legitimate question! Just getting your back, lol. Formula and Breast milk is a lot different so it would make since that it would possibly do different things to the growth and development of a baby.

My sons rib cage sticks out, because he's so chubby. I don't think it has anything to do with formula or breast milk. And the only stiff backed babies I've seen are ones that aren't held and cuddled.

especially since they are trying to make formula as close to breast milk as possible

This post makes it sound like formula is comparable to like, brownies or something. Formula and breastmilk are SO different!

yeah, I just don't like all this breastfeeding propaganda, breast milk good, formula bad, oh so bad. I pumped the first 3 months because my daughter was in the hospital, but when she came home, I dried up and I had to go to formula, but I didn't feel bad about having to give her formula, its just so many people try to make it sound like formula is poison
