Boxed Au Gratin Potatoes in the microwave

Has anyone made these in the microwave? How well did it work out? My oven died and we haven't been able to replace it yet.

If you did it in the microwave and it worked, can you tell me how you did it, there is no longer microwave directions on the box.

Microwave: Quick and easy. 1. Stir potatoes with sauce mix, 2-1/2 cups hot water, 1/2 cup milk and 2 tablespoon margarine or butter in 2-quart round microwavable casserole or bowl. 2. Microwave uncovered on High 10 to 15 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes, just until tender (sauce will thicken as it stands). Dish will be hot.

I make it homemade so I'm not help....

It actually turned out fine, the water boiled over a little but not too bad, I just truly hate not having an oven.

I would not be happy without my oven lol. I hate cooking things in the microwave cause they seem to burn on the edges. I'm glad it turned out good though. I need to go now cause the ambulance is here.

Yeah she just fell earlier from like 4 ft in the air and hit her face on the ground. When we got home I couldn't make her stay awake. She hasn't even been seen yet.
