Quoting Little Bit's Momma:" <blockquote><b>Quoting Manda Capps:</b>" I was a chub before I got pregnant. I lost ... [snip!] ... (But again, I only ate well because if I didn't I'd get sick)."</blockquote> Your dr wasn't worried or anything?"
Quoting Little Bit's Momma:" <blockquote><b>Quoting Manda Capps:</b>" Nope because DD was growing perfectly. I ... [snip!] ... 16 th so I guess I'll ask if I have the clear to work out, and what level of exercise I can do. Working out keeps me sane -.-"
Quoting Little Bit's Momma:" I know i need to talk to my dr about this when I go in but I'm curious if any other ladies lost weight ... [snip!] ... mean like dieting I mean like working out eating healthy and the weight just came off with leading a healthier life style?"As long as you're still within the healthy weight gain scale, your doc will tell you not to worry about it and not to do anything different. We all slip up and have weeks or days where we aren't as good as we should be. Just go back to your normal routine and don't change anything. You have to realize that atleast 10-15 pounds of what you gain is from baby. You really shouldn't be doing anything that could be considered a "diet" unless the doctor has mentioned that you need to slow your weight gain or stop it...and usually they will refer you to a dietician or give you some sort of plan that they normally give patients that are overweight. I had a friend who was obese during her pregnancy and her doctor's goal for her was just that she wouldn't gain ANY weight. He sent her to a dietician and set her up on a meal plan. If your doctor doesn't mention the weight gain, then I wouldn't worry about it.
Quoting Little Bit's Momma:" <blockquote><b>Quoting Manda Capps:</b>" If you worked out before, moderate exercise ... [snip!] ... women run up to the third trimester."</blockquote> Hmmm. Yeah I did a lot of yoga and body weight training before."
Quoting Brittany Nielson:" As long as you're still within the healthy weight gain scale, your doc will tell you not to worry about ... [snip!] ... to a dietician and set her up on a meal plan. If your doctor doesn't mention the weight gain, then I wouldn't worry about it."I also started my current pregnancy carrying around 20 extra pounds of baby weight and was overweight (my daughter was only 3 mos old when we found out we were expecting again.) I talked to my doc about it and he said to keep doing what I was doing, moderate exercise is good for you, but that my goal should be to try to keep my weight gain under 20 lbs. Seriously, if its an issue, the doc will talk to you about it. He said that if I started gaining too much weight towards the end like I did with my first, we would talk about a dietician to get me through the rest of the pregnancy without any more weight gain, but for the time being we wouldn't worry about it.
