Well yeah, b/c it's the negative side that worries me.

The question was how do I feel about GMH's? I feel that it's kind of a scary thing, being that it's in its infancy (no pun intended).

Dark angel?

Anyways I feel it is wrong. We should not be creating mutants. I also don't believe in cloning. I don't see anything right about it. It is not natural, it should not be done.

True, if we're going to adopt a practice of not having children in order to prevent passing along faulty genetics, then most of the population is going to need to get fixed.

And I definitely agree on the adoption thing. A lot of people just don't understand that adopting is not the same thing as having your own child, even for an infertile person. I don't believe it's better or worse, it's just a totally separate thing.

So are you suggesting that infertiles are to help with world's overpopulation by accepting their infertility and move on? Because that would seriously not even be a drop in the bucket. And how many women have you heard of having more than eight babies via IVF? Oh yeah, one. Because women who have high order multiples are an abomination to the IVF world. Elective single embryo transfers are becoming more and more the norm because fertility doctors would much rather women not conceive twins, and in some countries it's not even legal to transfer more than one embryo.

Here is something you're really not understanding. IVF is expensive and having to do it more than once doesn't usually make it any cheaper. It's bloody HARD to make a baby with IVF. Most cycles fail and most cycles do not produce enough extra embryos to be frozen for future transfers. So by the time a woman holds an IVF baby in her arms, she has already fought an exaustingly difficult battle. She very well may choose to do it all over again for another child, but there are very, very few who would choose (or who could afford!) to do it a third time. Women who undergo IVF are not contributing to world overpopulation anymore than you or anyone else on Baby Gaga who chooses to do what we're all hard wired to do: reproduce.

Famine and disease are "nature's way" of keeping population in check, not infertility.

Did you know approximately 70% of all twins result from fertility treatments?

Some women can't conceive deal with it.
I can't play in the NHL I'm not going to run and grow hockey skill in a Petri dish so that I can become naturally skilled enough to play.

Plus these women spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on unnaturally creating a baby in a Petri dish.
Why is them experiencing a full term pregnancy more important than helping the children who are already here and alive?
Why is letting them starve to death or go unloved just looked at as "that's life" when women are growing children in a lab somewhere for thousands of dollars. That's NOT LIFE that’s science.

Yes most twins are conceived via fertility treatments. But that has to do with...what? It's still not the norm.

And how many of those children have you adopted? Oh wait you PLAN to adopt one day, right? Again, adoption and infertility are entirely different things. Adoption is not for everyone and infertility doesn't make it so for those who can't conceive. Babies conceived in petri dishes have zero effect on children who need new homes and forever families.

My husband is getting a vasectomy on July 4th. With DR bilinkoff.
None of my children were planned and we don't plan on having more.

I'm also in the process of becoming a foster patent to 2 special needs children.

I'm getting there and taking the steps.
What are you doing?

I'm 22.
I've only been able to foster and adopt for a year.

what do you mean, what am i doing? Im not the only going high and mighty on adoption lol.
I have one biological child and if i want another biological child i will very well have one.I will never adopt a child and thats my personal preference...good for you for adopting..but to have two unplanned pregnancies you still sound like a hypocrite.

This would have to have been done using donor eggs and with that comes a contract relinquishing any claim to parental rights.

it's not anyone's responsibilty to adopt children regardless of how or if they can conceive sorry that sounds harsh but it's true. it's like using that argument for abortion. so what if women are trying to conceive i'll get an abortion if i damn well please.

life isn't science? don't use the hospitals or any of the medicine the next time youre ill if life isn't science. dont use any transportation or purified water or the electricity you use to log into baby gaga.

lol life isn't science.

the procedure stated that it was the ''mothers'' defective egg, injected w/healthy dna from another female.
