father wont give me health insurance card

What do i do? I don't know the id number or any of that. i need help because without it i have no other insurance to use

I have no idea. Have you tried to ask him if he will give you the number, or if he does, in fact, have your son insured?

call the courts to get it all straightened out? worse comes to worse get your own insurance for your child til they can get his smurf together. you dont want to risk your child NOT having insurance at anytime

or wait....does he already have insurance for the child? either way if he wont give you any info bring the courts into it, he has to answer to them

If he won't give it to you the only thing you can do is take him back to court.

was it through court or dss? cause they say its a requirement when you file for child support for the absent parent to carry insurance on the child, but they wont inforce it. my son is almost seven and his father has never had insurance for him, and there is nothing i can do about it. if he has insurance, and wont give you info, try to find out who he has it through and call them. they should give you what you need.

Do you have his address/phone number? you could always have the bills sent to him?
