re: 1st OB appt.

I had my first one a few days ago....

I had to fill out lots of paper work, then we went into an office and talked about the mommy and daddys family history. After that is was a pap smear, an ultra sound, pee in a cup and alot of blood work. The first visit is usually the worst.

Depends on if you need anything special(iron), and if not they will give you a choice!

About medicaid... My mom aplied for it while she was pregnant with my lil brother and she finally just had to go to her appointments with no insurance until it went through and then medicaid just paid all of the back pay! So if you do have any late balances that you cannot pay just talk to a medicaid rep. and tell them the issue because they can get introuble keeping you waiting this long!

its been 6 weeks now and im not even in the computer yet! thats what the dr. office said. i HAVE to go in cuz of a medical promblem...i have a tummor..in my area...sr BIG TMI i know. but i was gonna get it removed in March and found out i was pregnant. soi HAVE to go in becuz of it.

There's nothing scary about it! I've only had blood drawn twice. Once was my first appointment, and another at my latest appointment. I'm scared to have blood drawn too, even having it done so much in the past, but I promise there's nothing to be scared of. You feel an itty bitty sting and then it's over. If it helps just don't look at it, or hold someone's hand. lol I cover my eyes and just wait..it's always quick and pretty much painless. The stick isn't even bad enough to make a person say "Ow." lol Most likely, if they do an ultrasound it will be a transvaginal, which isn't bad..you just take off your pants and hop on the table with a sheet, and within seconds you're watching your baby on the screen.

They'll get your weight, blood pressure, and have you pee in a cup. (this is something they'll probably do at every appointment) And they'll probably either give you prenatal vitamins or magazines. Or both.   It's really not bad at all.

the only reason im scared is cuz ive had it done before and its not somuch the neddles..its that the broke my vain and i passed out. lol and im freaked out it will happen again
