I lost my baby

I went to the ER last saturday for a cough that I had. They told me it was probably bronchitis and they did an ultrasound to check on the baby. They could not find a heartbeat and the baby was only measuring at 14 weeks when I was actually 16 weeks pregnant. I was in shock when they told me my baby was gone. I made it through the first trimester and didn't have any symptoms of a miscarriage, I really thought this baby was going to be okay. My doctor put me under anesthesia and did a d and c the next day. I am feeling very sad and confused about why my baby didn't make it.

Sorry for your loss momma. I lost a baby at 16 weeks also. I lost him somewhere around 13 weeks but didn't find out until my 16 week checkup. They induced me the next day and I had him naturally. Thank God I had an amazing doctor who made them test to find out what the problem was. They discovered he had Trisomy 18 and that is what killed him. They also determined it was a boy.
