Mexican Fry Fest Aqui!

I'm SO excited, I finally attempted egg-battered chiles rellenos, just like my MIL makes. It's my first-go so I know they're thick, but I know how to fix that for next time. DH wasn't complaining any  

I also made Tortas Milanesa, so it was a bit naughty at our house tonight with all the fried stuff but we had salad last night for dinner and will have another salad tomorrow night (we have salad most of the week now that it's summer, anyway).

DH's favorite food is chile rellenos!!! Took me a while to get the chiles toasted just right and to get them covered right with the egg batter! Those look delish

My SO is Mexican but doesn't really enjoy Mexican food lol

They are quite easy.
You can find a recipe on the bag of flour for tamales.

It takes a delicate hand, and patience! Omgah, I almost got so pissed with my first two tries

Can you watch your MIL? That's how I've learned a ton of techniques and recipes that DH loves.

This is a really good base recipe. I used chihuahua cheese instead and my mistake was overbeating the eggwhites, which is what made them so thick

Mine is the opposite lol
He prefers American over Mexican

I've never had one of those.
