another miscarriage

posted 29th Jun '12
Well I should be used to it by now and know that I couldn't carry a baby past 6 weeks. I found out my hCG went down to 44 today and I was told I was miscarrying. I am getting bloodwork done next week to see why this keeps happening. We already know that I have Rh- blood type but I got the Rhogam shot at 4 weeks 4 days. They should have ran tests earlier on me to see what was wrong... I can only pray for a better future and keep my mind open and positive or it will kill me.

Keep your head up, I had two miscarriages 3 months apart before I got pregnant with DD. My doctor did blood work and told me I wasn't at my healthiest. He put me on like 10 different vitamin supplements per day and I waited 3 months before trying again. Stay positive!!

Thanks. It's so hard to deal with and the excitement! 2 of my good friends were pregnant with me and now that I have lost mine they are continuing with their pregnancy right now. Honestly I will be so happy when they bring their babies into the world. My last miscarriage I was so bitter about everything. I am trying so hard for it to not get to me, but hopefully what is going on is just a minor problem. I have a thyroid problem in the past because of an eating disorder, but never really went on any medications to clear up that issue. Can Thyroids possibly adjust themselves without medications? That's a tough question.. idk if anyone can answer it.

I know how you feel, my sister in law and I were pregnant at the same time during my second pregnancy, it was rough watching her get bigger but I knew my day would come. I honestly have no idea about the thyroid thing but do some research on google and ask your doctor because sometimes its the smallest things that can be easily fixed.

I'm very sorry for your loss. Has your doctor ever checked your progesterone levels? I also have had 3 losses, and it's because of my progesterone.

I don't think they did whenever I would get my bloodwork done it was only hCG and a urine test to make sure that my UTI hasn't infected my kidneys. Do they give you medication for progesterone?

Yes, they can give it in pill form or vaginal suppository form. The suppositories are more effective, because they are absorbed directly into the uterus. My doctor prescribed them for my last pregnancy, but not soon enough. Two of my losses happened at the 6 week mark as well.

I wrote about this above too. My levels were 3.2 and lower. I took prometrium 2x a day til 14 weeks and never had another m/c again.

It is hard to stay positive. Keep your head up and I really hope things work out and they find that whatever is wrong is nothing too serious.

I was just about to ask if they have checked your progesterone. With my bleeding I had it turned out to be low progesterone and took the pills 3 times a day. I think it saved my pregnancy.
