At what age can you start giving babies water and juice? It is 100+ degrees here

6 months is bare minimum

She's almost 5 months

6 months for juice.

I would really try and not do this more than once a day but an ounce of water + juice is OK at any stage. It will not kill the child contrary to what most believe. And no, it's not "good" or beneficial but it's not harmful either. Not in that amount while out in this heat. Obviously I would not be in this heat but even if you go from the car to the store a baby can get over heated fast.

All babies need for the first year is breastmilk to drink or formula if you are formula feeding. I would never recommend giving a baby under one any juice.

juice maybe not no til after 6months at least, water you can a little bit from 3months if they need it but most babys or not all babies need water or juice til a bit older.

Nothing but breastmilk or formula for the first 12 months, unless directed by a doctor

My son was a 27 weeker and he got water right when he came home the nicu recommended it. it helps constipation. As long as its not the amount of a full feed adn they take the next full feed you should be alright.

Ya, I give her a few sips of water. It gets over 100 degrees here.
