Nursing covers

posted 9th May
Does anyone use nursing covers? I really want to get one, but would like some feedback. I think they look like fabulous products! Let me know what you think.
I think I like these two brands the best-
"Hooter Hiders" http://shop.bebeaulait.com/
"Mommy Cover" http://www.joiaproducts.com/20.html

While I was nursing, I would get sooooooo hot that if I used a cover, I may have actually caught fire! lol

I just learned how to drape my shirt around him once he was latched on, and then it's hard to tell what they are doing....since you don't see any skin anyhow.

Hmm those are pretty cute. I just bought one from wal-mart that is 5 bucks and it has a mesh side and a thicker cotton side. I usually use the mesh side where baby's head is so it isn't too hot. And the thicker side just to shelter the other side of me...I would definitly get those other ones jsut because they are cute...

I always just used a receiving blanket. It takes a little bit of practice but I've never had problems with it.

Yeah, that's what I did with my first baby. I'm just not very coordinated! haha These just seem so much more convenient, and SUPER cute!!! (:

Don't spend a ton of money on Hooter Hiders or Bebe Au Lait! I refused to spend $35 on some fabric to cover myself, but I also wanted a wrap like that because receiving blankets are a pain in the ass for nursing. I looked on eBay and actually found a girl who makes her own wraps that are just like the Hooter Hiders and Bebe Au Lait, but are much cheaper. Best $17 I've ever spent! (plus $3 shipping) The girl is a professional seamstress and has an endless selection of fabrics. I have been so pleased with my wrap!

You're very welcome! The fabric I have is discontinued, but I had such a hard time choosing one. So many of them are perfect for me. I left it up to my husband for the final decision.

I seriously use my wrap nearly every day and I don't have a single complaint about it. I love the little pocket on the inside where you can either keep baby's binkie, tissues, or even wipe their face with it (yes, I've done this many times! LOL).

Those are adorable! If I was going to get one, that's where I would order it! I looked at her fabrics...beautiful!

She ships very quickly. Took me less than a week from submitting my order to receiving my wrap in the mail. She responds to email promptly and encourages feedback. I've thought about getting a second wrap for my other diaper bag, but that might be a bit much.
