Support for young mothers / moms dealing with colic

posted 29th Jun '12
I'm Lynn. I had my first son at 21 and he had very severe colic that lasted an entire seven months. He was also born with three heart defects and a blood disorder. If it wasn't for the support I had from a friend of mine that dealt with the same issues, I don't know if I would have been able to get through the stress. That being said, I know what it's like being a mother of a colicky baby (or just a "difficult" baby), I know what it's like to have a child with very unfair medical issues and I know what it feels like to have a child at a young age. I would like to extend my support to anyone out there who needs help, advice, information, or just need to vent. I know how it is to have nobody to talk to about how you're feeling and I don't think anyone deserves to feel that way.
I felt hopeless at one point and I don't want ANYONE going through these things to feel that way.
Even if you just need to vent, or want a new friend in the same spot as you, PM me. I am more than happy to share my experiences and listen to yours.

Everyone deserves to have support, in any parenting scenario. I hope by posting this I can help someone and maybe inspire someone else to share their experiences and support with others.

Oh absolutely. and I will gladly be of as much support as I can to ANY mother, but I posted "young moms" just because I have personal experience in the area. Didn't mean to sound like I was excluding ANYONE that needs support!!

Well biznatch no one was being a bitch except you. And I have been through the colic and medical problems and it helps to talk with others about it.

it really pisses me off when people CLICK on the TEEN PARENTING forum and say smurf like "Blah blah why do you have to be teeeeens, wah." It's like, then go to a different forum. Like for example parents with infants, or parents with kids. Free for all perhaps?

I'm not bitching about teens. I just hate that when people use the term "young mothers" on this site they get soooooooooo much smurf.

Like I said, I would be more than happy to give my support to any mother - I just thought it logical to list issues I've personally had to deal with =) No big deal guys.
