Essure Birth Control

posted 28th Jun '12
During my c-section with my 3rd baby (April 16 2012) The DR found me to have alot of scar tissue.I had signed papers to have a tubal, but once doing the c-section and while trying to find my fallopian tubes the Dr and his Assistant could not find my tubes due to scar tissue (adhesions). They finally decided to close up the incision and afterward told me I could not get pregnant again because it would be life threatening and that I would need a new form of BC called Essure.
Essure is a permanent BC, it is springs inserted into the fallopian tubes which create scar tissue so the eggs can not be released. The eggs disolve naturally. The procedure is done in a Dr office and only takes about 20mins. Afterward you wait 3 months and the dr will send you for an xray where dye is injected into the uterus to make sure the tubes are completely blocked. You are then considered steril. It is not a reversable thing and there for is considered permanent and is 99.99% effective once the dr considers your tubes blocked completely.
I had mine done yesterday and it was a lil painful and I am having some pain still but nothing like I thought itd be. I have only taken 2 advil and 2 tylenol since my procedure.
This is great for women who are told if they get pregnant again it could be or will be life threatening and women who know they absolutely do not want anymore babies.I highly recomend this procedure.

Youre welcome. I was clueless when I was first told I would have to have it and so I looked it up online and researched it alot before I went through with it.

I have Adiana, which they no longer do but was very similar. It's worked really well for me, the only downside being the Depo shot for uterine prep.
