re: What is the abortion pill like at 4-5 weeks?

Quoting preggoteenconfusion:" is there anything to see really at 4-5 weeks anyway? If I did that I don't think I'd want to anyway...."

they told me you could see something beginning at 4 weeks but i don't know that for sure. when they did mine she said i was 5w5days based on ultrasound so they could def see something. then they do a vaginal ultrasound when you actually go in for your procedure because it is more accurate...and they want to be sure of how far you are. i told them i didn't want to see...but as they were doing my paper work i saw the printouts anyway by accident :/.....

and again, the pill was easy and painless for me. but some people said it hurt more physically, but less emotionally than the surgical. it all depends on the clinic on how they will sedate you for the surgical. i also got strong pain pills and nausea meds for my medical abortion. but i know people who would choose the surgical over medical any day.
do what is right for you. don't do it because it's what others want. i don't know your situation but i wish you the best of luck.

Well, I would definitely suggest talking it through with someone if you are unsure.

You really do need to be 100% if you’re going to have a termination, regret is a difficult and horrible thing to have to deal with for the rest of your life… I know I’ve had my ups and downs, and I was and am absolutely set in my decision.

You do seem unsure, so have a look around at what your other options are. Get all the information you can, like if you are thinking you want to keep the baby, have a look at what support groups there are in your area, what services you might be able to access and what they can offer. Obviously there is also adoption, if that seems like a good idea, see what information you can find out. Asking for information doesn’t mean you have to go with that option; it just might make things a little clearer for you.

Also if they do make you look at the monitor if your thinking about going ahead with the termination, you could always look just above the monitor or to the side.

Counselling is a great idea

If you’re only around 5 weeks, you have a bit of time to explore all your options.
