Breaking Out!!!

I'm about 16.5 weeks pregnant with my third child, and for the past week or two, I have been breaking out in horrible facial acne! Like seriously, I feel like I'm back in high school and I graduated in 1999!!!! Ugh... My first two kids are boys and I never experienced this issue with them. Not sure if it's pregnancy-related or not. So I would like to know if acne treatment are safe to use during pregnancy. Also, since I didn't experience this with either of my boys, could this be an indication that I'm having a girl this time (we don't find out for a few more weeks)???
