I think I have this pinched nerve on my right side, around my hip and lower back. It's been there now for over two weeks and when I said something to my doctor she told me to take Tylenol PM, and stretch. Well neither really works and I can barley walk. Does anyone know anything else I can do?
Also, I'm 21 weeks is that still to early to feel the baby move a whole bunch everyday? I feel her from time to time but not ALL the time.

I got that all the time and unfortunately there is nothing much you can do about it. It hurt me the worst when I would turn in bed..........I hated that pain and I even got it with my first son too.
I used a heating pad for a bit and it helped a little bit. Also put pillows inbetween my legs when I slept. It' will go away, but for the meantime, just take it easy and even try some stretching! Good luck

Here is a stretch I do that helps with low back pain...not sure how well it will work on a pinched nerve, though.
Stand in front of the bathroom counter (or your kitchen table..something about that height) with your feet about shoulder width apart and about a foot away from your surface. Now, using your hands and fingers "walk" yourself slowly down to a position where you are bending over at the waist, and coming to rest on your forarms. Now, imagine that there is a string tied to the bottom of your tailbone (base of your back/butt) and "lift" that string by arching your butt into the air just till you feel a stretch in your hamstrings and back. Once you feel that stretch, stop and hold that position. Keep breathing nice and slowly. Within a minute or so, the tightness will feel like it has gone away. When that happens, "pull up" again on that imaginary string till you feel the stretch again. You can do this for about 5 minutes total. Every time that the stretch "releases" and feels normal again, just stick your butt into the air a bit further for the next one. This is actually a hamstring stretch, but when my back is sore and tight, this realeases stuff in my back too...I do this one all of the time!

hang in there with the back pain - sounds like ur sciatic nerve which can cause horrible pain! and really the only thing they recommend for it is like what ur dr said plus warmth can add some temporary relief like from aheat packor a warm bath. my sciatic hurts me off and on - sometimes for a few minutes and sometimes for weeks at a time and its just miserable! if you want more info on it just go to webmd.com and type in sciatica - they have a lot of stuff on there but thats pretty much all they tell you to do for treatment
some ppl have active babies and some have "lazy" ones i started feeling lots of movement around 20 weeks but others dont feel even their first kick until a little later... dont worry about how often your baby is kicking until ur dr puts you on "kick-counting-duty". some dr's have you start to record ur baby's movements everyday at 28 weeks. mine didnt - but a lot, do. the only reason you would have to maybe worry is if you were feeling lots and lots of movement and then didnt feel Anything! for 2 full days - then you are supposed to call - but there is nothing wrong with not having tons of movement just yet no worries

Thank you all so much! I was freaking out so bad last night that I messed with the baby heartbeat thing for like two hours until I finally found her heartbeat. Sometimes I just freak out, and I just want everything to be okay!
