Every woman is different but there's no real way of preventing them @ this point.. Lotion up so you don't get all itchy but it's a genetic issue apparently.. I've never gotten any on my belly but the few that I got on my thighs and butt eventually faded to white so I can barely tell they're there.. But I know some women get them deep (like my Mom) so the amount they lighten up depends on the person too.. Sorry hun

Keeping them moisturized is the best thing to do. But...if you are going to get them, there really isn't anything you can do to STOP them. Fortunately, they fade pretty quickly after birth!

Usually they'll fade after the baby is born but they will never go completely. Im 33 weeks pregnant and I havent got any stretch marks so far! Because i used BIO-OIL in the morning and evening and also in my bath for about a month when i was 8 weeks gone. and ihave started using it again now im in near the end.

I use the non itch lotion, because there's not much you can do about it. I have some on one of my boobs.

Someone told me you inherit them like if your mom had them theres a chance you will have them. I have been putting lotion regularly and I havn't gotten them yet. I do think that they go away after baby once you start losing the baby fat. Because remeber your skin is stretching at a rapid pase so stretch marks are a major possibility.

I am starting to get them, i have been using lotion and bio oil, there is nothing that will stop them, if there was whoever invented it would be a billionaire and a god or goddess to us preggo's!! ^-^ but if you keep your belly soft with things then there is a chance they won't be deep!. and they should fade after you have the baby...it's sad i know but it's just something that mommies have to deal with. it's one of the great joys of pregnancy.......... ^-^ i know how you feel!

I almost bathe in lotion every day and I still got them on my boobs, hips and butt!
If you are going to get them there is nothing you can do to stop them, no amount of lotion, cream, oil or even prayers are going to prevent them.
Just another badge of Mommy honor.

lol if u think they are bad now wait till u have had the baby,
they r pretty impossible to get rid of but i use cocoa butter or bio oil (which reduce the appearence of scarring)
they are still there but not bright red, they are a nice silvery colour now
